detective conan - Anime I liked. Pretty funny and interesting. Not really into it any more but whatever it's badass.
flagging trees - Used to 'flag' this tree near my primary school. We'd always climb this tree, then one time we went to the golf course, took a flag, went to the tree and climbed up it, then selotaped a flag in it. Towards the end we had three sticking right out of the top of this tree. Was lots of fun. Need to do it again sometime.
haruki murakami - Favourite author. Books contain many interesting and personal moments.
my so-called life - Teen drama. Got ripped off by everyone since. Was kinda like Dawson's Creek except without the shitness of pretending to be important and meaningful. It just had it. Clare Danes was in it, and it's really funny / emo.
photoshop - Useful for funny images and wallpapers. Used it a lot when I was really into making websites when I was a teenager. Don't use it enough these days, need to play with it more for sure.
requiem for a dream - Really ace film. "Drugs are bad" without the annoying conservative whining that it usually comes with. Soundtrack fucking rocks.
takeshi kitano - Favourite director, I think. Makes pretty films like Dolls and Hana-Bi. Plus he's generally cool, like in Battle Royale. Rock.

United game today was the most boring shite I've seen them play for ages. Hate that ref too - he's always being a prick and trying to be important. Everytime I see him I just go under. Gives out random yellows for things which aren't fouls. Like the Richardson booking, and for one of the Villereal players too. Just generally disrupts the flow of games, he's just so annoying.
Going to some Jazz club tommorow after helping liz move in - should be fun. Never been before so looking forward to some chilled outness that should be in the atmosphere. |

Ok... so I do something with perl for the first time in ages, and end up loving coding again so much I just can't stop. Just a few hours on irc and message boards and I accidentally end up with a quick project for this afternoon, and contacts with a little startup in Leeds. :-)
Was meant to go meet Lizzie's parents as well right now... but don't have any money at all. Crap. In fact, I have £60 less than my overdraft. Union haven't been giving me wages or something because I haven't got my staff id number. Crap. Somerfield haven't got back to me either bout my app, parently they're messing about cording to Danny. So despite me sucking... aka running out of money (crap)... the perlness this weekend has given me a little bit of courage.
Looking forward to next year - the mujs house CLJJ are setting up sounds super awesome. But we do need even more people to live round longsight/viccy park. Shame Danny an Ridgeway are lurking round Withington somewhere.
Think of all girly artists I've got into, Vanessa Carlton is the one I can see me truly loving. Far removed from the structural pop-simplicity of Thousand Miles, her album Harmonium is really quite special in places. Occasionally manages break away from the boring chorus/verse structure which seems to afflict most solo artists. Half a week before the Winter and San Francisco are both ace.

PlusNet introduced their monthly internet usage caps on Thursday. The mujshq account will hit the 30gb redline in roughly a week of normal usage. Terrible things will happen after the one month overflow period. Maybe I should push the P2P-Block button. Been looking at other ISPs... prodigy have a package with free migration, similar price, and a 1 month minimum contract. Hooray! Will change hopefully in early May. My brother's friend Rhyno might be able to sort me out with an even cheaper isp. Possibly.
And oh lord, I'm very fucking freezing.

My own fault for leaving it so late, but that was probably mostly because I didn't want to do it. Or maybe I shouldn't have convinced myself that I could probably make it work. Was gonna try some funny last minute costume, but realised I really didn't want to.

Woah! I have like not written anything in here for like, you know, three months!
There were somethings I were to write, but never did. About how I've fallen out with my drunk self, about how I quite like that Edge magazine thing, about how I need to watch flcl again, about how I need more empathy. I would like to be more focussed in certain things tho. I haven't written anything creative recently. Not for the sake of writing it. And - when programming that thing for Dave's wallpaper the other day - it hit me that I've not programmed anything for ages either. Then a further thought occured - that I haven't been doing many creative things per sé lately. So I've decided to try to do some creative things this week and next. I wonder what?
